Torcal de Antequera | Ruta de los Ammonites #málaga

We visited the stunning natural landscape of El Torcal de Antequera, in the province of Málaga, on the fascinating Ammonite Route. The trail covers a total of 6 kilometers, where we will find marine fossils, caves, sinkholes, labyrinths, and some of the iconic rock formations of this area, declared a Natural Site in 1989. Our tour will consist of a guided visit led by María, a friendly and well-trained instructor who will explain the landscape to us. This karst landscape, originating from the Jurassic period more than 150 million years ago, has been sculpted over time by erosion caused by water, snow, and wind.
