A Winter Snowstorm at My Log Cabin | Off-Grid Life in the Forest

In this short film I’m sharing a quiet ten days of my everyday life in the winter forest. This month I decided not to push too hard. I’ve always loved the mood of winter — the way the days feel slower, calmer, and somehow more magical. When the мороз really bites, sometimes the best thing is simply to stay close to the fire, work with your hands, and watch the forest breathe in silence. You’ll see a small hunting moment in this video — I included it to keep the story honest and complete. I love wild animals and I respect the forest, so I went to a friend who works at a local forestry/deer farm. They raise deer and roe deer there, and I was allowed to take one male roe deer (of course, I paid for it). I didn’t show the full butchering process because I know many people don’t enjoy seeing that. I also didn’t want to waste the hide, so I decided to tan it and use it for my own needs. And during all the firewood work, my axe handle finally broke — so I made a new one by hand from a leftover piece of wood from the roof build. Thank you for watching and for being here with me.
