10-Speed Shifter Stick Extension Install

How to install Shifter Stick (Gear Stick) extension on Peterbilt 579, and the needed parts for the upgrade. EXTENSION ROD in this video is 12” long and has 12x1/2 thread pitch. Different lengths available in 6”, 12” & 18” long. The finished is also available in CHROMED or MATTE BLACK. AIR LINE size is 5/32nd Outside Diameter (OD) and same with the quick connect air line connectors. WATER PIPE INSULATION FOAM… Get the 1” Inside Diameter (ID). BOOT in this video is 30” long. It is also available in 18” long for factory length shifter stick. It’s available in several colours. The black plastic skirt under the "VALVE KNOB” is also available in CHROMED version, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I imagine that would be another $10-$20 part. Lastly, despite my several mentioned of using Loctite (AKA tread locker), from what I’ve gathered from expert-experienced seasoned mechanics, teflon tape would be more ideal and I agree. However, this rod along with other small screws in this video were secured with 243 Blue Loctite.
