What initially seemed like a simple missing person case turned into a shocking murder investigation with brutal details that stunned everyone. Law enforcement immediately launched a full-scale effort to track down the perpetrator, determined to bring justice and peace to the community. Case Information: On July 2, 2023, the police received a report from the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Thu stating that Mr. Thu had been missing since June 30, 2023. Following a rapid investigation, authorities invited Le Duc Dong (born in 1972, residing in Hamlet 5, Dong Tam Commune, Dong Phu District, Binh Phuoc Province) for questioning. At the investigation agency, Dong confessed to being the perpetrator who murdered Mr. Thu and then buried the body to conceal the crime. According to Dong's confession, on the afternoon of June 30, 2023, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu drove to Le Duc Dong's house to demand payment of a debt. Because Dong did not have the money to pay, an argument ensued. When Mr. Thu threatened him, Dong suddenly grabbed a hammer and repeatedly struck Mr. Thu in the head, causing his death. After committing the crime, Dong took Mr. Thu's body to an open field about 1km away, dug a hole, placed the victim's body in it, and covered it with soil in an attempt to hide the evidence.
