The 2003 Mercury Marauder was based on the body on frame Ford Panther platform and was powered by a naturally aspirated 4.6 L DOHC V8 with 302 hp and 318 pound feet of torque. 2004 was the last year for this Marauder mainly because of lack of sales which some blamed on bland styling and others blamed on marketing to the wrong target audience.
