Is Spironolactone a Hair Loss SOLUTION? What about for acne?

First off, I'm not a physician so please contact yours if you have any specific questions about Spironolactone. Secondly, I also am not sure if I'm pronouncing Spiro correctly, so #1 should be obvious. :) I took Spironolactone a few years ago and while I didn't have any result one way or the other with my hair loss (except for the dread shed, which you'll hear about in the video...bottom line, it certainly wasn't a cure), I did see some great results when it comes to acne. It definitely was an acne cure for me. If you have a hormonal imbalance as I do (due to PCOS) and are wondering how to get rid of acne when nothing else has worked, Spiro can be a great treatment...after consulting with your doc and understanding side effects, etc. The one thing I will say is you should not be on this while trying to conceive or if you are pregnant. Spiro is an anti-androgen so you'll find that your skin becomes much less oily, which allows your existing acne to heal and new pimples are prevented.
