Dr Dan Smith Cardiff 2025, research on why IgAN progresses differently in different people
Dr Dan Smith shares findings of his research on why IgA nephropathy progresses differently for different people. Why does kidney function remain stable for some people with IgAN and progress quicker in others? This was presented at the Mayer Patient Information Day 2025, which was held in Cardiff. It's an annual event, organised by the Mayer IgA Nephropathy Research Group, based at the University Leicester. Dr Dan Smith works at the research laboratory attached to the Wales Kidney Research Unit.
