After many years, i finally decided to setup my first salt water aquarium in my home. I hope you enjoy my adventure in nano reefing and share your comments. Tips: 1. A salt water cycling should take between 3-4 months. 2. At the end of your cycling your ammonia and nitrites should be 0ppm, and your nitrates around 2-5ppm. Thats the sign your tank has successfully cycle. 3. Don't use to much light during cycling, around 4 hours a day of light should be fine. (This is due to the algae growth). 4. You can have your skimmer turn On during the cycling. 5. Don't forget to add some biological piece to your tank in order to start your cycling and start to generate ammonia. 6. Remember to cleanup your dead sand after adding it to your tank.
