Lanyard Replacing Techniques- Replacing a Short String to Long String of a Brick Stitch
This tutorial demonstrate a lanyard (scoubidou) technique that allow certain strings to be replaced. have you ever had one of your long strings torn apart? or you mistakenly cut a string and now you can't make any more stitches? This video will answer these questions ,but can apply on some of the strings of the stitch. For example on a circle or box you can't do this technique, but from a brick stitch (2 by 1) to bigger stitches, you can repair one of the long strings . and from quad stitch (2 by 2) you can repair ANY string by this technique and another technique that I'll talk later on. Will be add another few videos on repairing string on lanyard (scoubidou boondoggle gimp) with some more examples ,such as a superBrick and a quad and maybe even on a corckscrew stitch. _____________ 00:00 - first we need to find the closest string that is in the 2 other side of the short string . in different words , find the loop that attached the short string. 01:09 - loose the selected string and move the short string into it's loop. 01:28 - adding the new string into the same loop in the direction of from outside the stitch to inside the stitch. 01:52 - making the 1st brick (2 by 1) stitch for this video, keep the 2 sticking out string at the center of the stitch and while pulling remember not to pull the new string to much or it will break apart. pull the new string slowly and lightly. 03:31 - 2nd brick stitch (2 by 1) , the same as before keeping the 2 sticking out string at the center of the stitch and you can now pull the new string a little stronger. 04:19 - last brick stitch (2 by 1) ,the same as before keeping the 2 sticking out string at the center of the stitch and you can now pull the new string even stronger. 05:04 - cutting the sticking out string and you can now continue regularly make brick stitches. 05:23 - thanks for watching!
