4 SINAIS QUE O SEU BEBÊ ESTÁ PRONTO PARA ANDAR

4 SIGNS THAT YOUR BABY IS READY TO WALK Baby walking generates a lot of doubt. There are babies who are walking independently at 9 months and other babies who do it at one year, one year and three months, and sometimes even a little later. Of course, it ends up generating a lot of concern in mothers to see a baby of 9 or 10 months walking while their own, who is already over a year old, is not yet. It is important to understand that before walking, the baby will show some signs that he or she is ready for it, and there is no point in trying to rush it, there is no need. Remember that these signs are built from the baby's birth. The fact that the baby was sitting without support in the seventh/eighth month is a period in which he or she is gaining strength, balance and control in the trunk, which will be reflected later in walking. When the baby, for example, crawls, this also helps and prepares for the first steps. When, in addition to crawling, the baby kneels and stands up alone, it also helps with walking. The first few months, in fact, the entire first year of a baby's life, prepare the baby for walking. The signs: THE FIRST SIGN It's a baby who stands up on their own. It's not a baby you're putting on their feet, it's a baby who, on their own, stands up on their own, meaning they have the strength in their legs to do it. THE SECOND SIGN It's a baby who stands up alone without any support. They stand up holding onto something, but sometimes they let go of their hand and stand alone without support for a while. Of course, they are unstable, a little unbalanced, and you notice that they are still insecure. But they can already stand without support for a few moments. THE THIRD SIGN It's sideways walking. The baby stands up holding onto the sofa or some piece of furniture and walks sideways. THE FOURTH SIGN The baby is already taking steps. He takes small steps, either holding hands with you or pushing something, a toy or a small chair for example. If the baby already shows these signs, you can, for example, place him standing against the wall, move away a little and call the baby to come to you. You can place, for example, two pieces of furniture close to each other and call the baby, or place a toy that he really likes so that between one piece of furniture and another he has to take two or three steps. From there, you will give him this type of opportunity, you will encourage the baby, you will celebrate every time he takes a few free steps, and thus he begins this maturation of walking. If your baby does not show these signs, you will adapt your house, adapt the environment, and you will stimulate your baby to crawl. If he is in the crawling phase, you will encourage him to play on his knees, which is super important. You will encourage him to play with toys, pieces, balls, things that he can pick up from the floor, stand up, and put away in a box. You can encourage your baby to take something out of the bucket and give it to you, or pick something up from the floor, lift it, and put it in the bucket, playing and having fun. There are countless activities that will encourage your baby to spend more time standing or squatting and standing, gaining more strength in their legs and hips, improving balance, and gaining confidence so that they can then show signs and begin the much-anticipated independent walking.
