Troy skirts the edge of Greek mythology, but makes the cut | Film First Friday

From my understanding of the movie Troy, most of the supernatural and overtly mythological elements seem to have been stripped from the narrative, though mentions of the gods and any influence they could have on things does remain. This makes the film debatably less of a mythology story and more of a historical or literary adaptation. In any case, it's close enough that I've decided it's a good way to kick off Greek Mythology month for Film First Friday. Let's watch it! Film First streams are watch parties that will not feature audio or video from the media in question. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch it along with me. Be sure to have access to this movie so you can watch it along with me. Troy (2004) can be viewed on a number of services for rental or purchase, such as Fandango at Home--where I'll be watching it.
