Québec : les "pistards" de l'extrême risquent leur vie en 1999 ❄️ 🚛 | INA Voyages

For a month, the "52 on the front page" team met with them, accompanied them, interviewed them, and filmed them at work and, to a lesser extent, with their families on weekends. Outside, it's -28 degrees Celsius. Patrick Bouchard is getting ready to leave behind the wheel of his truck, which is carrying 145 tons of wood. He talks about the difficulties of driving on the track and the precautions to take to avoid rolling over. He loves his job and tries not to think about the danger. Gaëtan Fortin, the foreman, specifies that 3.5 million trees are felled and taken down to the sawmill. The trucks run 24 hours a day. On weekends, the truckers see their families and relax with them. On the Monts Valin track, Daniel talks about the dangers of the descent: the track drops sharply at a 14 to 16% gradient; a young trucker was killed on this track. At the Saint Fulgence unloading area, trucks come and go. The truckers are paid per trip. At night, to fight sleepiness, they take caffeine. Patrick likes working nights. On the way, he learns that a truck has just lost its load: immediately, machinery arrives to clear the track, but Patrick will be a little late. The ski patrollers ride in all weather conditions: when it snows, they follow the snowplow and the grader that clear the roads, but they dread black ice above all else, which sometimes forces them to stop. When the thaw arrives, the track is full of mud and ruts that they have to navigate around, and it's even worse. **** Information about comments ***** On YouTube channels, you are free to express your opinion, even if it's critical.
