However, already in 1919, they began to realize that it is impossible to act by force alone: in order to control Ukraine, it is necessary to carry out Ukrainization. Ultimately, Soviet Ukraine evolved from an autonomous part of Russia - through "forced" independence - to the status of a separate union republic. Stalin continued to insist on "autonomization", but Lenin, Rakovsky and Frunze made efforts to prevent this intention from happening.
