How to Draw People - Pretty Female Face - For Beginners

Caution: children should use child-safe art supplies. In today's easy lesson, I will demonstrate, step by step, how to draw a pretty female face for beginning artists. We'll start by sketching the foundation, which will give you the basics for drawing the head in a front angle, which include the shape, or outline, of the head, and the centerline and eye line guidelines, based on the proportions. I'll focus on drawing simple features - the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth (lips), but then we'll adjust each to create an attractive female type. This will include drawing the upper and lower eyelids, shapely eyelashes, and adding a high arch to the eyebrows. Next, we indicate subtle shadow which appears on the pupils, upper lip, and bottom of the nose. But it doesn't end there. We'll also refine the shape of the head by tapering the chin, and adding mass to the sides of the forehead, indicated by padding the hair. A breezy hairstyle completes the look.
