Forge Valley & River Derwent, North York Moors - 27 June 2020
A 16 mile circular walk. Starting at Forge Valley the route heads south following the River Derwent to Ayton Castle. Here the route turn north and then follows Forge Valley along the top of the western valley side before leaving just before Spikers Hill to Cockrah Road. Continuing north west to Coomb Hill the route joins the Tabular Hills Walk following this west along the escarpment of Troutsdale Brow. After Brompton Moor House the route then descends through Troutsdale Brow Plantation following the contours to Mount Misery and then descends further to the River Derwent. The route then follows the river back to the start
