This poncho shawl can be worked using any size yarn and appropriate sized hook. It is worked sideways, so it's just so easy to make any size, by adding more rows; and big bonus, it's a one row repeat! That means it's easy to watch TV or wait for an office appointment and work the pattern without needing to refer to the written instructions. Once the first row is established, it's very easy to see what the next row is.
