Canon 20-35mm f3.5-4.5 EF Lens Review for Canon RF and R8

Hello hello mom and dad meet world-kinda viewers. We bought this Canon EF 20-35mm f3.5-4.5 lens off of Amazon. We also picked up a MCO Plus Canon EF to RF lens mount adapter to use with this lens and the R8. Surprisingly, this lens works very well to full autofocus eye-tracking and subject recognition for photos and video. This lens dates back to March 1993, yes I said 1994, but it’s 1993! There’s something to be said about the quality dating back more than 30 years. The lens has very little distortion on both the 20 and 35mm ends. This was surprising because when we look at a lot of the native Canon RF glass, there is a lot of vignetting and distortion when we look at the RAW image. There’s very little, if any, just some color difference. The big drawback, and it may be with the use of the MCO Plus adapter is the close focus distance, it’s almost 2 feet out at the 20mm side to get autofocus. So definitely not a macro lens. However, for less than $150 for the lens and adapter, I’d pick this up all day every day for Canon RF full frame mount. Check it out and thanks for watching! #CanonRF #CanonEFtoRF #CanonR8 #CanonFullFrame #Canon20to35 #CanonEF20to35.
