Tsakos Energy - The Story

Capital Link honored Captain Panagiotis N. Tsakos with the 2013 Capital Link Greek Shipping Leadership Award. With an origin deep rooted into the legacy of shipping, Tsakos Group was founded from Capt. Panagiotis Tsakos, from Kardamyla of Chios. He continued the legacy of his family and Island Chios as he first became a captain and later on grew to be a shipowner. One of the first Greek companies that saw how capital markets would fund the development of global shipping. Tsakos Group was publicly listed at the end of 1980s.
