My plans for the Silk Road route, as I prepared to cross from Quetta to Taftan on the Iranian border, changed unexpectedly. While trying to reach the border area, I was stopped by local security forces. They stated that due to security procedures in the region, this route is risky for travelers and that they could not allow me to cross alone due to unpleasant incidents in the past. Safety comes first for me, so I had to change my route, heeding the authorities' warnings. What happened during this process, how did we communicate with the soldiers, and what awaits me now?
