In this video, we demonstrate the disassembly and assembly of an aluminum wheel using the Weber Expert Series 1024-XL-2HP tire changer. This high-precision machine features a pneumatically tiltable mounting column. Pneumatic locking and adjustment of the mounting head is also possible. The mounting head has a mount for plastic protection elements. The clamping jaws are made of high-strength steel and can securely clamp rims up to 24" from the inside and outside on the self-centering clamping plate. They can mount and demount at two different adjustable speeds. The auxiliary mounting arm facilitates the mounting of run-flat and low-profile tires; confirmation is provided by a joystick that controls a pneumatic cylinder. The mounting arm provides a stable hold-down roller for pressing in the tire bead behind the mounting head and a separately threaded hold-down pad, as well as a lift roller for raising the tire during demounting.
