ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ବଡ଼ ବୈଠକ। CM Mohan Majhi Chairs Disaster Management Meeting । El Niño Preparedness Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level State Disaster Management Committee meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to review preparedness for possible natural disasters, including the expected impact of El Niño. The Chief Minister directed the Agriculture Department to keep a contingency plan ready to protect Kharif crops from possible low rainfall. He also asked all concerned departments to work in coordination under a "Whole of Government" approach. The state has strengthened its disaster management system with 911 multipurpose cyclone shelters, active 24×7 emergency control rooms, the 112 emergency helpline, and a nationwide SMS alert system. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of sharing accurate information through television and social media to prevent rumours during emergencies.
