The sky is clear and the sun is full, catching the water in the dykes and lighting the marshland in bright gold and green. The path stays high, following the network of trails through the 1,000-acre reserve, with reedbeds stretching on either side. The route momentarily crosses a jetty on the river, looking out across the water toward Oulton Broad.
