It's a version of football that I've mentioned many times I like much less than Flick's, but focusing on the central defenders (like Cubarsí) helps us understand that the mistakes made by Cubarsí, Gerard, Eric, Araujo, Christensen, whoever... have much more to do with the risks we take as a system than with a "lack of skill," because they certainly have more than enough skill, as they perform very well playing with a system that for defenders can be the most difficult there is, since what every central defender wants is to play close to the goalkeeper and well protected, not in the middle of the field with 50 meters of space behind them and receiving one-on-one situations.
