#kechhotline Farmers in Uganda are embracing bamboo growing, mainly for its income-generating benefits, but also to help reverse the effects of climate change. The country is experiencing extended periods of drought, floods, and disrupted rainfall patterns, which conservationists attribute to massive deforestation and as part of the strategy to restore forest cover countrywide, Uganda is targeting to increase its acreage of bamboo.
