Post emergence control of grassy weeds from Peas || Crop Reformer

Peas are an important vegetable crop in Pakistan. No doubt pre-emergence spray of herbicides provides fairly satisfactory weed control for 1st month in this crop. Their residual effect does not live longer than 40 days and Dumbi sitti (Phalaris minor) regerminates and poses severe threat during winter season. I conducted a research trial on post emergence grassy weed control at the private seed farm of Director Vegetable Research Institute Faisalabad. Post emergence herbicide like Axial (Penoxaden) of Syngenta @ 330ml per acre was found as the most effective for the safe post emergence control of Dumbi sitti and most grasses from the seed crop of peas. Weed management is an essential factor in successful production technology of Peas crop. If weeds are not controlled in time, it can reduce the overall yield of the crop. Use of efficient and proper herbicide is the only technique that can increase production of our crop. #Peas #CropReformer
