From Forgotten to Fabulous: Upcycling a Wooden Rolling Pin into a Unique Decor Piece

In today’s video, I’m giving a thrifted wooden rolling pin the sweetest little vintage farmhouse makeover using paint, stamping, distressing and wax. I used Fusion Mineral Paint in Casement for the main body of the rolling pin and Fusion Mineral Paint in Conservatory for the handles, then added a beautiful stamped design using an IOD stamp and Stone Gray ink. These old spinning rolling pins are perfect for this type of project because you can roll them straight over the stamp, which makes the whole process so much easier. Less fiddling, less faffing, and thankfully less chance of wanting to throw the whole thing across the room. Once the stamping was dry, I lightly distressed the rolling pin and finished it off with Fusion Espresso Wax to give it that lovely aged, timeworn look. This is a simple and charming DIY if you love vintage-style decor, cottage-style crafts, thrift flips, upcycled home decor, and turning forgotten thrifted pieces into something pretty again. You could style this decorative rolling pin in a kitchen vignette, tucked into a basket, layered with vintage linens, displayed on open shelving, or added to your farmhouse-style decorating.
