In this video we refurbish the Delco Remy Generator destined to charge the battery on the John Deere 430 Standard Restoration Project. This is a six volt generator; Delco Remy model number 1101859. It may be of similar design as other six or volt generators of the era. Future videos in the works cover rebuilding of the engine, installing tires, building a wiring harness, and maybe even some fun stuff like painting. My techniques and tools are probably not the industry standard, my approach to what is removed/installed is random and haphazard. Obviously, I have no training or credentials that justify me walking anyone thru this process or this project.
