Publishing producer. Irregular walking enthusiast. Born November 1965 in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Graduated from Waseda University, Faculty of Social Sciences, March 1990. I left the Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed specialized trading company where I started my career after graduation in July. I entered the world of the nightlife industry at the invitation of an acquaintance. There, a customer (a branch manager of a major city bank) drunkenly suggested, "Maybe you'd be suited to working for a publishing company?" This prompted me to take the mid-career recruitment exams for the publishing industry. I applied to six publishing companies listed in the job listings section of the Sunday edition of the Asahi Shimbun, which I bought at a train station kiosk, and received job offers from five. In November 1990, I joined Shogyokai as an editor. For some reason, I chose the company I knew the least about. I spent a year and a half in the editorial department of a monthly specialized magazine that covered and analyzed commercial facilities, and then eight years in the editorial department of a monthly specialized magazine for the apparel industry. In March 2000, I left the company and became an independent planner in the distribution industry. However, my independent venture failed, and I started job hunting again. After working for six months in the editorial department of a recruitment advertising company that hired me, I joined Business-sha in May 2002, assigned to the book editing department. Until then, I had a rather unimpressive image of books as a product, but as soon as I realized the greater degree of freedom compared to magazines, I began to enjoy my work. I served as editor-in-chief, editorial director, and director. On April 15, 2011, I left the company and became independent. I now plan and edit publications in a wide range of genres, excluding picture books, erotic books, and cookbooks.
