Raga Desi-Todi by Kedar Bodas

Raga Desi-Todi by Shri Kedar Bodas at a Concert of Hindustani Sangeeta Kalakara Mandali, Bengaluru. It was a morning concert on 4th December 2016. The Accompanists are (L-R): on Tabla- Shri Dattatray Bhave, on Harmonium- Shri Vyasmurti Katti, on Tanpuras- Shri Vikas Vaishnav and Smt. Meghana Kulkarni. First is a Khayal set to "Dheema Ektaal" (slow 12 beat cycle), then a Bandish in "Madhyalaya Teentaal" (16 beat cycle) followed by another Bandish in "Drut Ektaal" (fast 12 beats). This rendition is in the tradition of the Bhendi-Bazar Gharana (Moradabad Gharana); in which Kedar was under the tutelage of late Pt. T.D. Janorikar, among his other gurus.
