What is a Sentence? A sentence is a group of words and it is having three important characteristics. 1. It expresses a complete thought or idea. 2. Sentence must contain a subject and a verb. 3. Meaning of any sentence may be different. Types of Sentences based on different meaning. 1. Declarative Sentences Declarative Sentences tell information about anything. and They end with a period. 2.
