In my hometown, making buuz (round) dumpling (crescent) is about family gathering and celebrating happy moment together. In this vlog, I made Mongol buuz, the round ones. As a child, my sisters and I helped our mom make hundreds of buuz and dumplings, freezing them so our big family could eat them for weeks. The process was long and full of work, but also full of shared moments. That’s why making buuz is special. It takes time, patience, and many hands working together. I make them once a year—today I prepared some for lunch and froze the rest so we can enjoy them together during Lunar New Year. Wish you all a very happy lunar new year! 🧧
