"Daydream" a song co-written by Avril Lavigne from the 2010 album "Sparks Fly" Written by Avril Lavigne and Chantal Kreviazuk Produced by Raine Maida A one and a half minutes snippet of the song (   • Avril Lavigne - Daydream (Snippet)  ) appeared on promosquad.com on January 23, 2004 alongside a clip of "Don't Tell Me". On January 28th, the two songs were featured in a promosquad survey, evidently leading fans to believe that the two songs were in competition to be the lead single from Under My Skin. Ultimately, "Don't Tell Me" was released as the album's lead single while "Daydream" was completely scrapped from the album. The song was later offered to both Demi Lovato and Miranda Cosgrove, respectively. Lovato rejected the song, although she still performed it several times on her Demi Live! Warm Up Tour. The song was then offered to Cosgrove who recorded and released the song on her debut studio album Sparks Fly (2010). Cosgrove's recording of the song replaced the line "if I would have went home with you" to "if I would have went out with you". I do not own any thing from Avril Lavigne and Miranda Cosgrove music.
