Life in a compound - an OPEN & HONEST review of J One Residence, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

One of the most frequent questions I get from prospective expats is the living situation. Where to stay, what's it like, if there is anything to watch-out for... The list goes on. The common concern is that there is very little information out there and you can't really find any honest reviews. People tend to arrive and commit to a compound or residence and only then find out the issues, once they've committed to a year's contract... Awks. After spending two years in J One, we wanted to change that and share our experiences - the good, the bad and the ugly. Please appreciate this is an experience-lead review from our time here. Other people may have better experiences or worse ones... We want to shine a light on our experience. We feel it's important for the living standards to improve and we are confident they will as demand increases as well as competition. Videos like this will showcase the realities of living in such places and hold establishments accountable in an effort for them to raise standards themselves.
