James Marape sworn-in as eighth Prime Minister of The Independent State of PNG
Parliament was suspended after the Speaker Job Pomat made the announcement of the results. While new Prime Minister James Marape was whisked to Government House to be sworn in by Governor General Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae. He was accompanied by his wife and leaders of coalition partners in a convoy of vehicles.
