I am not sure if it effects Lexus RC but it could be. Those steps I show should apply to that car if you need to get yours done. This is so common that there is a technical service bulletin issues by Lexus to get this taken care of free of charge if you are within warranty. Some people may miss the deadline of the warranty or you may find a dealership that doesn't want to assist (stating its negligence of owner using wrong product but water and microfiber towel will take it off easily) or know how to so you can do it yourself instead with the right part number.
