Numbers - 1000 to 1200 cfs

Paddlefest provided the opportunity for kayakers to get together in Buena Vista on the Arkansas River as the season just starts. As the Arkansas River starts to rise, so does the stoke to ride the rise. Yes, bigger can be better. Team River Runner (TRR) chapters also gathers during Memorial Day weekend to celebrate kayaking and to honor our fallen brothers and sisters during their service to our country. Anyways, I got a TRR crew together, including my son Bryce, to get on Numbers. Things on the river got bigger than the previous weekend, but still predictable. Personally, I thought the run was Class Fun. Paddle strokes were a little to relaxed, some of the holes got stickier, and rock boofs / splats came into play.
