knf tracker stuff (airpunchr, wuzuphello, ballista, drumtrack, etc.)

https://allsop-lancaster.com/knf/ 00:00 AIRPUNCHR original filename: corner.it this is the original speed, i am very proud about this one, sounds great straight from the tracker file. was extremely inspired by Machinedrum's Room(s) around the time i made it. 02:40 BALLISTA (first half) 03:36 BALLISTA (last half) original filenames: bleh.it, eviltrack.it i made this on my laptop and wasn't expecting it to go anywhere. for a lot of the album i would make riffs and sections and when i would get bored of it pass it off to em and expect it to cut it up, so i was kind of stoked all they did was put a break underneath! the last half here is a bunch of microsamples of 'don't stop the music', extremely distorted, which ended up at the end of the track, even more distorted. the track ended up being a lot longer than expected and we had no idea how to close it out so that's why it ends the way it does. 04:54 POSTPYREBILLOWING original filename: cockmaster.it i'd often pull from scribbles that i had posted to my website in 2018-2020 for this, i believe the intro here was something i made in 2021 after moving. not much to say about this. don't ask me why i called it that. 05:52 WUZUPHELLO original filename: Modulezzzzzzzzz1.mptm this was the first solo track i had made for the project, but after the project started becoming more fully formed, i became so unsatisfied with it. rendered out every stem and gave it another go in Reaper, had more fun with it. got rid of the xqc bit, added some more fun jokes. i'm more satisfied with the new version and based on everyone's feedback, i'm glad i gave it another pass. if you want a strong argument for getting medicated for adhd. this version was unmedicated, the new one is medicated. also this version was originally going to be a 128kbps mp3 exported as a flac, so imagine it more watery. that's what it sounded like. 07:55 DRUMTRACK 09:26 DRUMTRACK (offset) 10:32 53DIVINITY drums original filename: andidrums.mptm i realized i had never played with drum breaks before. like ever. consider this my first attempt at doing that. the video is a little deceptive, you are hearing the album version on the first part. em transient shaped the album version like crazy because after redo-ing wuzuphello i thought this track felt so flat. ty em. i think this is the weakest of my 3 solo tracks but i've seen some people say it's their favorite so thank you to the texture enjoyers. rendered this out multiple times and spliced together the bits i liked. notably this file also has the vocals and drum bit from my section of 53divinity, i think originally i wasn't expecting to do anything with this and thought it'd be used as a transition in another track, so there's lots of scribbles in here. the two songs sampled here i chose from a nostalgic memory of playing ATV2 on gamecube. i will probably write a retrospective blog and attach it here soon. don't quote me on this. thank you for enjoying the album, it helped me grow so much. 10:53 silly :3 https://rowans.blog/
