(don't feel afraid to reach out to us via social media!) ▼ TAGS ▼ ========= pink sauce is a pink-colored dipping sauce created by private chef and tiktlk user @chef.pii. the sauce went viral (especially on tiktok) in the summer of 2022 with over 500 million views on the #pinksauce hashtag. the sauce has received controversy due to several issues with the safety and labeling of the product. whether it's that color varies widely from batch to batch, that the product is poorly packaged, the alleged presence of ingredients not in the list of ingredients such as mayonnaise to thicken it, or even the fact that it contains milk which, when packaged in a bag, could be infected by botulism. vegemite is a thick, dark brown australian food spread made from leftover brewers' yeast extract with various vegetable and spice additives. it was developed by cyril callister in melbourne, victoria, in 1922. A spread for sandwiches, toast, crumpets and cracker biscuits as well as a filling for pastries, vegemite is similar to british marmite, new zealand marmite, australian promite, mightymite, aussiemite, ozemite, german vitam-r, and swiss cenovis. vegemite is salty, slightly bitter, malty, and rich in glutamates – giving it an umami flavour similar to beef bouillon.
