Sidhant Gupta's UNFILTERED Take on Jubilee, Black Warrant & His Acting Journey | Filmfare OTT

Sidhant Gupta, who rose to fame with his popular series Jubilee & the recent Black Warrant, has created a niche for himself as an actor in the OTT world. The actor spoke to Filmfare's Editor-In-Chief Jitesh Pillai about his early days in Delhi working as a model, getting recognized for his TV character Kunj in the show Tashan-e-Ishq and later about his struggle to find the right projects in the Industry. Sidhant talks about how at the advice of his brother, he took a solo trip to London which changed his life completely and also his perception about the world of acting. Spending days at a Drama School there, helped him nurture his inner artist and also helped him reflect about his surroundings. The actor then landed the golden opportunity of being a part of Vikramaditya Motwane's Jubilee and the rest was history. It was the uniqueness of of his nose which got director Nikhil Advani interested and he got Sidhant to play the role of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. While for Black Warrant, a universe created by Vikramaditya Motwane & Satyanshu Singh, Sidhant shares how he loved playing the role of the infamous Charles Sobhraj and wouldn't mind being fantasized as him. The actor accepts about getting financial support from his family during his struggling days which also gave him a reality check about his profession. He recalls his days while growing up in Jammu and fondly looks back at his roots. He believes one should build their own character and personality, which also helps him navigate through his romantic relationships. As an actor, he confesses to losing opportunities to commercially successful actors and believes that through OTT shows, new and diverse talent is emerging.
