The contour and highlight shades will suit the majority of Light to Medium skintones, however, the shades will be a bit off for very pale skin and tan to deep skin. I find the contour shades border on being a touch too ashen on my skin while the highlight shades are too stark. The highlight shades pack some punch so you have to be very light-handed and be careful to blend. while the contour shades are a bit more build-able in intensity. All the shades are soft and blend easily onto the skin. They have a nice soft and smooth texture without being overly powdery. And the finish is a soft natural matte rather than a flat chalkboard matte. The highlight (light) shades are very similar in color and depth with subtle differences in undertone - peach, pink, yellow - not enough to really show up when used lightly. The contour (shade) shades show the biggest differences in both undertone and depth which make them more versatile.
