In April 2023, we took several trips to Orava, where we visited the Forest Education Trail in Oravská Lesná in addition to several lookout towers. ℹ️ The Forest Education Trail was built in 2005 and renovated and extended in 2013. According to the description, it is 4.3 kilometers long and has 40 stops. These are dedicated to various topics related to forests and their functions, such as fauna, flora, forest use, forest pests, forest management, and more. Unfortunately, at many stops, no additional information is provided beyond the number, so visitors who do not have a list often get lost. The map at the beginning of the trail is also outdated, as it showed the original stops from 2005, not the additions and renumbering in 2013. It is also clear that the trail is showing its age in several places, although it is still in relatively good condition.
