1941 His Master's Voice model 411 Console Radio Restoration Part 1
In my last video I asked viewers to vote for the radio they would like to see me do next. This one won by a big margin, so here it is. I acquired this radio over a year ago. The seller wanted $50 for it but when I found the dial glass was broken and it was in a pretty bad state, I declined it. Long story short, he gave it to me for nothing. I was going to use it for parts but the more I thought about it, the more I thought maybe I could save it. Made by HMV Australia in Sydney, the ARTS&P sticker dates it at 1940/41 so it will be a pre-war design. These radios really are a part of Australian history and this one certainly brings back childhood memories for me. let's see if I can bring this relic back to life.
