Japan Ep.1 | Tokyo Honest First Impression

As a solo parent I arrived in Japan prepared for overwhelm, but instead found something surprisingly calm. From visiting Sensō-ji Temple on our first day, to slowing down in the peaceful green spaces of Shinjuku Gyoen, this part of the trip felt very different to what we had imagined Tokyo would be. In this vlog, we explore Tokyo—finding a balance between the busy city and quieter moments. We visit Ueno Park and the National Museum, experience the immersive TeamLab exhibit, and spend a fun day at Asobono indoor play space. This is the first part of our Japan travel series, before we continue on to Osaka. If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo with kids, or just curious what it’s really like, we hope this gives you an honest look at our experience. Thanks so much for watching 🤍 📍 Places featured: Sensō-ji Temple Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden Ueno Park & Tokyo National Museum TeamLab Asobono Indoor Play Area
