So I took your advice, ordered a freshly made meat burek, and enjoyed it the traditional Bosnian way with a refreshing yogurt drink. The burek was hot, crispy, packed with flavour, and absolutely lived up to the hype. But the biggest surprise came when I went to pay. The owner smiled and refused to accept my money, generously treating me to the meal for free. It was an act of kindness I'll never forget and another reason why I love the people of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
