Berberteppich-Produktion – von der Rohwolle zum fertigen Teppich

In this video, Olli from tepgo.de takes you along on one of his trips to Morocco and shows you how a Berber rug is made – from start to finish. The first stop was Morocco's capital city – Rabat. From there, the journey continued to one of the world's most enchanting cities – Marrakech. • In the spinning mill, our local partners and Olli give you an inside look and show you how raw wool becomes finished yarn. • In the weaving workshop, you can watch the weavers at work with Olli and get a sense of the skill and craftsmanship involved in creating a Berber rug. • Finally, the finishing touches are added. Here, the edge of the rug is hemmed to create a kilim edge, and the pile is trimmed to the desired length.
