The Nord Stream gas pipeline linked Germany and Russia. Did Nord Stream harm Central Europe and weaken Ukraine? After Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the German-Russian pipeline was destroyed in what is believed to be a sabotage attack. Despite the presence of the Yamal and TurkStream routes, this was treated by Russia as a force majeure and Gazprom ceased gas supplies by pipeline to Europe.
