Analog Perfection-600 kg! The Kaliber Colossus MVP Turntable #Turntable #vinyl #audiophile #hifi
A true monument of ultra-high-end mechanical engineering! In this video, we feature the Kaliber Colossus MVP (Master Analog Playback System) – a turntable that completely redefines the boundaries of physical possibility in the analog audio world. This fascinating interview was originally captured by What Hi-Fi? Thailand. I am incredibly excited to present this footage to you here in its original language, made possible through the kind permission of my good friend and designer Koh (Co) from Kaliber Technology / IAV, as well as the fantastic team at What Hi-Fi? Thailand. By sharing this feature, I want to support Koh’s groundbreaking work and showcase this absolute masterpiece of analog audio engineering to a broader global audience. Even in its original language, the sheer engineering on display speaks for itself! Technical Highlights of the Kaliber Colossus MVP: Massive Weight vs. Vibrations: The entire system, including its dedicated base, tips the scales at a monumental 600 kg. Solid CNC-Machined Motor Housing: The housing of the direct-drive main motor alone is CNC-milled from a solid, 80 kg brass block to eliminate micro-vibrations at the very source. Magnetic Floating Platter: A Magnetic Floating Platter mechanically decouples the platter, paired with a special Varicurv surface that minimizes physical contact with the vinyl record. Twin Axis Active Anti-Vibration Control: An active, two-axis vibration isolation system ensures ultra-precise decoupling between the subframe and the tonearm base. Digital VTA Precision: The vertical tracking angle can be calibrated with extreme digital accuracy down to 0.01 mm via an integrated digital display. This isn't just high-fidelity audio anymore – this is uncompromising precision engineering aimed at the ultimate analog playback. Let me know your thoughts on this extreme project in the comments below! 🎬 Credits & Thanks: A heartfelt thank you to What Hi-Fi! Thailand for kindly permitting the use and sharing of their original interview footage. 🔗 Connect & Learn More: Watch the original feature on What Hi-Fi?
