Vom Käse zum Wein - Eva Raps, Urban Kaufmann und die Liebe zum Pinot noir

Eva Raps was managing director of the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates) for many years, while Urban Kaufmann was a successful cheese producer in Switzerland. Their shared love – including their love of wine – brought them together in the Rheingau region, where they fulfilled their dream of producing their own wine by purchasing the former Hans Lang winery. Although Riesling dominates in the Rheingau, their passion lies with Pinot Noir. On the slopes along the Rhine, they have created a Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) that easily rivals the finesse and elegance of its Burgundian counterparts.
