This was my first time getting off at Mutsuura Station on the Keikyu Zushi Line. It's the station after Kanazawa-Hakkei Station and is said to be the southernmost station in Yokohama City. With approximately 14,000 passengers per day, it's a fairly busy station. The area around the station, located in a valley-like area, has very small shopping streets on both sides, and quickly gives way to a residential area with steep slopes—a typical scene for this area. ★Opened on February 15, 1943 (Showa 18) as a station exclusively for naval personnel, approximately 500m closer to Zushi than its current location (station name: Mutsuura-so Temporary Station) ★March 1, 1949 (Showa 24) - Renamed Mutsuura Station and relocated to its current location.
