History of Westfield Mt Druitt It has been a community hub for generations of residents in Mt Druitt and surrounding suburbs, and now we are celebrating a very special birthday. October 9 marks 50 years since the centre first opened its doors. Since then, it has kept expanding and changing to match the needs of the growing local community. Many new names have come to the centre, which sit alongside family-run businesses that have remained in place for decades. Since opening its doors in 1973, the centre has undergone many exciting changes. You may recognise some friendly faces at the centre today that have been here throughout the years.
